Three Hawaiian Islands – The Big Island of Hawaii, Kauai and Maui – are among the world’s Top 10 islands, according to a new analysis by Travel & Leisure magazine. The magazine’s Top 10 islands in the world are:

  • Sanroini, Greece
  • Bali
  • Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia
  • Boracay, Philippines
  • Great Barrier Reef Islands, Australia
  • Sicily, Italy
  • Big Island, Hawaii
  • Kauai, Hawaii
  • Maui, Hawaii
  • Galapagos

 

Among Caribbean islands, the magazine listed these Top 5 islands:
  • Cuba
  • The Abacos, Bahamas
  • St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
  • Grenadines, St. Vincent and Grenadines

 

Among Mexican islands, the magazine listed the Top 5 islands:
  • Galapagos
  • Ambergris Cay, Belize
  • Roatan Island, Honduras
  • Isla Mujeres, Mexico
  • Cozumel

 

In the continental U.S. and Canada, it listed these Top 5:
  • Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia
  • Vancouver Island, British Columbia
  • Nantucket, Massachusetts
  • San Juan Islands, Washington
  • Mackinac Island, Michigan

    For the continental U.S., I can’t believe that Travel & Leisure magazine ignored Florida. What about Sanibel Island, Anna Maria Island, Captiva Island or Amelia Island?
