Young Aussies brave a huge makeshift waterslide on Hastie Beach near Bunbury in western Australia. Called Hastie Hazards, the bumpy ride apparently was a lot of fun but participants acknowledged that it left them pretty sore. One wrote on YouTube comments: “Im not sure how the other guys pulled up but i am sore as HELL today, and i only went down the once!!” Others wrote that they expected the “fun police” to shut the slide down, and others cautioned users that broken bones are not uncommon on even smaller slides such as this. But this guy offered a solution to all of it: “Awesome, what you want to do next time is get some old mattresses for the bumps…then maybe run it into the ocean!!! That way the fun police wont have anywhere to go!!!”

Now, if that’s enough Aussie adventure for you, check out this inland waterslide video from a couple weeks earlier, titled “Fun at illegal water slide in Australia”. Following the posting of this video, police said they would crack down on security in the area and discouraged anyone from participating in such “dangerous practices”:

What do you think? Is this just harmless fun, or should police crack down on these hazardous waterslides?
