I was looking around, I saw buildings and streets To hell with all that, I’m building a beach. Where everything’s sunny and nothing goes wrong, The men all wear flip-flops, the girls all wear thongs.

Over there will be sea grass, right there is the pier, A volleyball court, surf shop, and free beer, Concessions that sell Jello shots and sun lotion, Plenty of palm trees the wind keeps in motion.

A bike rental tent and twenty-four bars, A dozen trash cans and no police cars, Lifeguard towers, an arcade, and a strand, Plus plenty of space for water and sand.

I was looking around, I saw buildings and streets To hell with all that, I’m building a beach. Where everything’s sunny and nothing goes wrong, The men all wear flip-flops, the girls all wear thongs.

Teak lounging chairs, big beach umbrellas, Truck tire tubes for floating the shallows, An ice cream stand where no one goes broke, An open-air bandstand with No Kareoke,

Plenty of space between the playground for the kiddies, And the big topless section, so the tots can’t see… skin, At five every day, an Awards Ceremony, When we honor the party and weed out the phonies.

I was looking around, I saw buildings and streets To hell with all that, I’m building a beach. Where everything’s sunny and nothing goes wrong, The men all wear flip-flops, the girls all wear thongs.

The name of my beach is Southeast Saint Breezy The schedule is slow and the living is easy, Relax in the condos, with no sales gimmicks, Fish sandwich lunches, and naps in the hammocks.

The day-sailors all make it home by sundown, It’s premier, inclusive, and no money down, It’s all going to happen, and this one’s the truth, No waiting in line at the Fun Ticket booth.

I was looking around, I saw buildings and streets To hell with all that, I’m building a beach. Where everything’s sunny and nothing goes wrong, The men all wear flip-flops, the girls all wear thongs.
