Imagine combining the conveniences of a luxury yacht with the ambiance of a beautiful tropical island, floating across the waters in sun-soaked bliss as palm trees sway overhead. A British company called Yacht Island Design is working on just that … a 90 meter (295 foot) yacht that “centres around a secluded island paradise, with elements inspired by the islands of the Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Polynesia.”
According to the designers, the exterior of this marvel is designed to give the impression of waves breaking around a volcanic island, and the main exterior deck is a private beach “cove” with an ocean view swimming pool, fed by a stream emanating from a cascading waterfall on the volcano. Around the pool are a number of private cabanas, nestled between palm trees, offering a relaxing outlook over the pool and ocean beyond. Behind these cabanas there is a bar area, communal seating and an area for outdoor dining. The aft deck is a dedicated helicopter landing platform.
If that isn’t enough to lower your blood pressure, this masterpiece will have deployable floating beach islands, providing a sea level platform to enjoy water activities or just relax in – get this – a floating cabana.
Of course, there is an owner’s suite located inside the volcano and spread over two decks. Behind the owner’s bedroom is the owner’s private spa and balcony. An additional four VIP suites include private balconies and direct access up into the main deck cabanas.
Should it rain, or if it’s just time to get out of the sun, inside you’ll also find a theater, library, game room, gym, fully equipped spa several lounges.
