The Surfer Bar has opened it doors at Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s legendary North Shore. The bar is a multi-media center that will host live web casts and talk story sessions with legendary watermen, professional surfers and icons of surf. In the video below, Tony Perez, publisher of Surfer Magazine, narrates the grand opening private party.

Previously called The Bay Club, the new Surfer Bar is run by Surfer Magazine and the Turtle Bay resort. It is sure to attract surfing fans and the best surfers in the world, many of whom spend much of their time on the waters offshore.

Oahu’s North Shore, including the famous Waimea Bay, is the surfing mecca of the world and home to Ehukai Beach, commonly known as the Banzai Pipeline. Every December, the North Shore packs thousands of fans on its beaches for the Triple Crown of Surfing.
