Two loggerhead sea turtles who were brought to the Miami Seaquarium in December 2011 were released back into the water in a ceremony at Bill Baggs State Park at Key Biscayne. Cameras were rolling and dozens of spectators watched as the now-healthy turtles – Grinch and Eve – slowly became reaquainted with their natural habitat. Both are now wearing tags so officials can track their progress. Seaquarium officials said the threatened turtles were taken in for rehabilitation after they were found so weak that they could barely float in the water. After rehab, Grinch weighed 90 pounds and Eve weighed 125.
