Atlantic Beach is the most popular of the three beaches – Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach – along the oceanfront of Jacksonville, one of the largest cities in Florida, located in the northeast corner of the state. Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach can become crowded, particularly on weekends and holidays. The white sand of these enticing beaches extends for about a mile and is easily accessible from street endings north of Atlantic Boulevard. Lifeguards are on duty a majority of the time, allowing a safe and fun swimming experience. The beach is in close proximity to several small shops and restaurants.
