Naples is the upscale area of southwest Florida, where everything tends to be a little fancier and more expensive than cities to the north. But, of course, you don’t need money (except maybe for parking) to set up your lounge chair and beach umbrella on one of Naples beautiful beaches, read a book, take a leisurely stroll along the beach, go for a swim or watch the orange sun slowly set over the Gulf of Mexico. Naples beaches are wide and clean, with plenty of opportunities for swimming, boating, and just about any other water sport. If you’re looking for some company on the beach, visit Vanderbilt Beach, Naples Municipal Beach (adjacent to the landmark Naples Pier), and Lowdermilk Beach Park. If you like things more on the quiet, secluded side, check out Delnor Wiggins Pass State Recreation Area, and Clams Pass Beach Park.
