Actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have sold their private beachside home on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Kauai for $20 million, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. According to HawaiiLife.com, only four residential properties have ever sold for more than $20 million or more in Kauai’s history. And all of those included several hundred acres. The Smith’s property, which overlooks Secret Beach, came with just seven acres. Hawaii Life Real Estate says that agent Roni Marley, who represented both the buyer and seller, may have closed the largest residential transaction in Kauai’s history.
Records show the property sold for $6.5 million more than the Smiths paid for it just two years ago, an extraordinary price increase in the current market. Neither the Journal nor Hawaii Life Real Estate identified the buyer.
The home is no mansion. It is a single-story, 2,200-square-foot home with three bedrooms and three bathrooms and was built in 2006. It has a swimming pool and a hot tub.
Will Smith’s starring roles include “Independence Day,” “Ali,” and the “Men in Black” series. Jada Pinkett Smith has appeared in “Menace II Society” and the recently canceled TNT television series “Hawthorne.” Their two children together, Jaden and Willow, are also singers and actors.
